Zambezi Safari Tour & Victoria Falls
Since I bored you to death with my holiday plans, I thought it only fair to share with you a glimmes of what I did and saw.
A short introduction, I am a native to Zimbabwe so not really a tourist though they wanted to charge me tourist prices because I am not resident in the country. This was not my first time at the Victoria Falls, I have been before and all the pictures you see here where take by my iPhone 6s.
We stayed at my parents house mainly, which was nice being at home and all.
Then stayed at a beautiful boutique hotel 1mile away from the Victoria Fall. We walked most days as police presence is heavy on the ground and the town is a relatively safe place to walk around during the day.
We toured the falls, walked some more, got chased by wothogs, seriously not funny 😆, went to see some traditional dancers and singers too.
For food we rotated between western restaurants and a great local place which served amazing Zimbabwean dishes. Oh Yes before I forget we also got bitten by mosquitoes; which was so worth it because the sunset we had just watched was so beautiful 🌞🌞🌞.
We also went for a game drive, saw elephants zebras, giraffe and kudu's. On the river cruise we saw hippopotamus, crocodiles and the famous mosquitoes came out to play. If you follow me on Instagram you already know that there was a teenage elephant that was not very happy about us starring at it and it did let us know. Thank heavens he was kind enough not to charge at us.
Finally I went to the food lovers market to hunt me some exotic fruits that are not readily available in England.
Have you been on holiday yet and what did you get up too.
I will do a separate post on the second leg of this journey in the near future.
