Finally the west makeup industry is catching up, with what has been Asia's best selling foundation discoveries for years. Liquid foundation in a compact. Yes you heard me right can you imagine? perhaps you might already know about it; if you caught the beauty community Korean frenzy.
You can be forgive for thinking it will set you back an arm and a leg. But, no my friends this is brought to us by both high end Lancome and our most loved drugstore brand L'oreal Paris. My obsession has arrived drum roll please ....... Loreal True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation available in the US in 12 shades, can I hear a whoop whoop for my dark skin girls and everyone who struggles with matching their skintone to a foundation, I love it so much already before I have even used it, this is going to be a glow in a compact, don't roll your eyes doubting Thomas 😀.
I for one can't wait for this little compact of goodness to come to the uk. Please Loreal send me one soon.
In the mean time, I will review for you what I am currently using the Lancôme miracle cushion which cost me £29 for a drop of foundation, if the Loreal lumi cushion was availabe in the UK it could save me anything between £15- £20, People! which I could spend on skincare.
All the reviews I have seen so far are great and can't wait to put my fingers on this, hurry up loreal UK please.
Any who! to the review at hand....
This is a beautiful futuristic compact that is made of a silver lid with a good size mirror and a plastic white container. The compact is very travel friendly and pleasing to the eye. However, finger prints are very visible on the lid and if that bothers you, a little pouch to store and clean the compact might come in handy.
I got 2 application sponges, but the compact usually comes with one. It is an enviromentally friendly packaging allowing you to buy refills on the next replenish.
The only con I can think of is it might be a little unhygienic for the gem forbes among us as you apply the sponge into the cushion on to your face and repeat the process. Maybe washing the sponge between uses might resolve this problem.
Hello glow from within, our answer to Korean like skin, if only we knew to hide from the sun or have a 10 step skincare routine like the koreans.
In the mean time I am fake it, till I make it, with the Lancome miracle cushion foundation.

What beautypedia are saying about this foundation
Giving it a 4 star and we all know thats an aceladd.
"Miracle Cushion looks very natural and its smooth, hydrating (yet surprisingly light) finish is a boon for normal to dry skin. The formula is suitable for breakout-prone skin that's also dry, as it doesn't contain heavier emollients or waxes, but bear in mind the coverage isn't enough to hide breakouts or red marks left in their wake. Of course, you can solve this dilemma with a good concealer applied over top.
The sleek, mirrored compact houses the foundation-soaked sponge. There are two covers: The main mirrored silver cap and a secondary hinged cover that holds the applicator sponge and serves to protect the foundation from drying out. All told, it's a clean, functional design most will find convenient to use" taken from Paula's Choice beautypedia.

A fresh glow, long lasting hydration, weightless buildable coverage and an SPF of 23/PA++.
How to use Miracle Cushion
Apply by pressing the sponge into the liquid cushion and pat onto the face. For more coverage, press harder into the cushion to get more foundation. For touch-ups reapply as desired throughout the day.
I agree with everything Lancome claim. You can wear this founation as a BB cream very light and dewy or you can build it up to a medium to full coverage. It last at least 6 hours with no touch ups, but I would recommend a foundation primer. All in all a great foundation even for my oily combination skin, it leaves the skin with a nice dewy finish.
That being said, Lancombe miracle cushion watch out for this baby right here. The drugstore's answer to the trending cushion foundation hype.
L'oreal, hurry up and bring the magique cushion to the UK and make sure to give us all those shades too. Stop treating us like the red headed step children after all we are cousins with France.
